We are living in a stress epidemic. But that doesn’t mean we should normalise stress – it is not good for our minds or our bodies. In this two-week course of short webinar-style videos and accompanying worksheets, you will learn all about the causes and impacts of stress, and how to start dealing with your own stress response. You will be equipped with a wide range of strategies to help you manage stress, both in general and in the moment. Based on CBT and coaching techniques, the course is packed with practical ideas for reducing stress and adopting healthier habits that will enable you to better deal with whatever life throws at you.

The course comprises 6 videos with over 80 minutes of content introducing you to the theoretical foundations of stress and evidence-based strategies and techniques. There are 6 worksheets (totalling 15 pages) which can you edit or print and complete again and again. Topics covered include:

  • The effects of stress (physical, emotional and psychological)

  • Causes of stress

  • Identifying triggers and responses

  • Journaling

  • Categorising and dealing with different types of worry

  • Meditation, breathing and relaxation techniques such as mental vacation

  • Cultivating positive social relationships to buffer the effects of stress

  • Challenging unhelpful thinking styles
