This two-week course will help you to understand and better manage anxiety. You will learn about the causes and symptoms of anxiety, the ways that the body and mind respond to it, and how certain coping styles can exacerbate anxiety. Comprising of short webinar-style videos and accompanying worksheets, the course will help you practice a range of strategies to enable you to cope with anxiety more effectively and enhance your mental health, including practical problem-solving, worry time, breathing techniques and how to bring more joy to your day.

The course comprises 6 videos with over 70 minutes of content introducing you to the theoretical foundations of anxiety and evidence-based strategies and techniques. There are 6 worksheets (totalling 13 pages) which can you edit or print and complete again and again. Topics covered include:

  • Anxiety definitions

  • Causes

  • Symptoms

  • Understanding the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviours

  • Examining and challenging thinking styles

  • Coping styles

  • How to categorise and deal with different types of worries

  • Breathing and other relaxation techniques

  • Journaling

  • Identifying your support networks

  • Finding joy

This course works brilliantly as a stand-alone but works particularly well as part of the course package.

Please note, this course is suitable for individuals with moderate levels of anxiety and worry. It is not a substitute for therapeutic treatment for those with a clinical anxiety disorder.
